Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?▾

No referral is needed to book an appointment at North Atlanta Spine. Chiropractors are primary care providers for musculoskeletal conditions, meaning you can come directly to us without seeing another doctor first. That said, if your primary care physician has recommended chiropractic care, bring any documentation — it helps us understand the full picture.

How long is the first appointment?▾

Your first visit typically lasts 45–60 minutes. This includes your health history intake, a comprehensive orthopedic and neurological exam, a review of any imaging you've brought, a discussion of our findings and recommendations, and in many cases an initial treatment. Follow-up visits are typically 20–30 minutes.

What should I wear to my chiropractic appointment?▾

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best — athletic wear or anything you can move easily in. Avoid tight jeans or stiff clothing that restricts movement. For a first exam involving the lower back, athletic shorts or yoga pants work well. For the neck or upper back, a loose t-shirt is ideal.

Can I book for spinal decompression or massage therapy online?▾

Yes — you can request any of our services when booking online. If you're a new patient interested in spinal decompression specifically, we recommend booking a new patient consultation first so we can confirm you're a good candidate for the treatment before your first session.
